Antibiotic Resistance Research
Antibiotic resistance outcomes from conditions that the antibiotics have lost their efficacy to manage the rate of bacterial growth in a host organism. As such, the micro organism continue to replicate against the clinical interventions and therapeutic measures that involve administration of antibiotics. In this view, human beings are responsible for antibiotic resistance via the improper administration of antibiotics as well as repeated use. For example, not only are the antibiotics abused as observed in the usage of them to treat non-bacterial infection diseases including frequent cold and flu, which are viral diseases however also without the expert healthcare prescription. Correspondingly, the cells are responsible for the existence of the bacteria in that they are the constructing blocks of the organism. The cells have certain properties that enable them to survive. Moreover, the cells have lysosomes and peroxisomes, mitochondrion, nucleus, plasma membrane and ribosomes that enable them to foster bacterial survival through enhancing their body structure and providing the essential nutrients through converting them into energy. Most importantly, the bacterial cell contains the genetic genes that are able to replicate.
According to Häusler, Thomas, and Leube (99), the bacteria superbugs have genes that enable them to survive when exposed to antibiotics. The hereditary genes that make up the superbug bacteria and carry the antibiotic resistance genes, which enable them to survive exposure to antibiotics, can be passed between other bacteria. Hence, through such passage of the antibiotic resistance genes, more bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics are created. Concisely superbugs characterize typical bacteria made up of cells that constitute hereditary materials resistant to antibiotics.
