Human behavior and survival
Acquired Human Behaviors
Acquired human behaviors refer to the basic concept of behavioral transition during a creature's lifetime. It is this behavior that keeps most animals alive as they tend to migrate when drought is lurking about the corner and return when there is enough food. A fact is most domestic animals learn this culture for their survival majorly in the wild (Floss).
Learning Behaviors of Elephants
This article focuses on looking into learning behaviors of animals within the same class. On such species that fascinates my interests in relation, in learning behavior are the elephants. They have the largest brains compared to every other land animal which makes them distinctively smart. It is important to note that they live in the tropical and subtropical regions. In years past, hitherto, elephants have learned to scare off predators by making loud sounds thus scaring predators (Floss). Elephants have learned how to predict which human behavior as just from listening to they know which kind of people to hide from a good example would be the Maasai community.
Learned Behaviors of Elephants
Let us have a narrow focus on some of the learned behaviors they have kept over time. Many of the pregnant elephants have learned to eat particular types of forest leaves in a bid to induce labor. This is among the diet practices that elephants keep as well as use tools to reach food. They have been seen to use a large rock to break electric current from the fences as these are some of the tasks they coordinate in a bid to reach food (Floss). Elephants are known to have death rituals that they are often keen to observe. These are a cultural practice that elephants have learned to keep throughout their culture irrespective of whether the elephants live in a dessert or a thick tropical forest. Paying their respect to the dead is one behavior elephants have learned over time.
Is Human Attraction Science Innate or Learned?
Is human attraction science innate or learned? This is a question that raises numerous debates around how women and men relate. Human attraction science is natural just because it cannot be created in any science laboratory (Carolyn). It is not clear as to how people go around and find sexual partners as there some natural aspect about a person that raise the level of attraction. Science has it clear that attraction biology is entirely complicated, however, very simple to implement by human beings. Many factors go towards who we are attracted to while the reasons for appeal may seem silly they remain relevant. Women have been noted to smell the attractiveness of men just from how their sweat smelled (Carolyn). Women fertility has been seen to attract men as they naturally sense fertile women. Some of these experiments were performed based on picture tests during low and high fertility periods. Masculinity is one other concept that women look at as they seek out vitality. The person's personality is one other factor that attracts both genders as women and men often have to confirm whether what they see is what they need. Based on this findings attraction is no doubt an interesting topic (Carolyn). However, we learn how to express ourselves to those we are attracted to but not the reason for our appeal. The science of attraction in us is as unique as our nature.
The Line of Separation between Humans and Animals
A fact well-articulated is that most animals are more learned than the way humans used to think. A major question passed across is the clear line of separation between people and animals. There is no great difference as much as all animal have a life rather than the fact that humans share more (Kottak,31). However, the major point of separation is in our instincts. Our way of articulating and solving issues is what separates us from animals. So, are humans truly special? In my opinion, I would not declare whether people are unique or not. The main reason being every species has its way of articulating issues in a way even people cannot understand. However, an apparent fact is that people are unique as they get to study their behaviors as well as learn from both their culture and another animal with not much training. A good example would be guided by the fact that ants work as they keep extra food in store to help them survive the harsh days.
The Uniqueness of Humans
In my opinion, humans are unique only because they can act from the point of knowledge as well as their personal instinct. Instinct comes in how we select those people we are attracted. We operate from the point of awareness in how we get to approach and learn more about the individual who attracts us. In conclusion, humans are not special since most animals' breath in oxygen. The unique aspect of human being is the level with which humans get to exercise their standard of intelligence in problem-solving among other life areas (Carolyn). Sharing and marriage are some of the other factors that make people different and unique.
