It is true that Immanuel Kant was a great philosopher
It is true that Immanuel Kant was a brilliant philosopher as he was developing and refining epistemology along with other philosophical principles. The philosophy of Hume set the greatest thinkers of today. Kant's foundation was based on the two other philosophers. David Hume thought that our complete awareness comes from our senses and that generated the impression that, unlike Kant and Descartes, led to thoughts. With his theory of understanding of the mind, Hume helped pave the way to a higher state of knowledge for humanity. It is obviously that Kant’s account was due to the influence of Hume. Kant agrees with Hume’s observation that empirical knowledge is unreliable. In addition, I believe that large part of Kant’s account of philosophy was just responses to the legacy that was left by David Hume. When one thinks of the many people influenced by Kant, he or she should not say that it was because Kant was influenced by Hume but it is due to the fact that they were influenced by Hume. I strongly believe in saying that Hume’s account was far much convincing among the three theorists.
Question 3
The distinction between a priori and a posteriori is epistemological and mostly relates justification as to why a given item based on knowledge is held. To be a priori justified simply in believing for a given proposition is basically having a reason to think that the proposition is definitely true which is derived or emerge from experience. For example, a priori person who knows that all bachelors are unmarried does not need to have experience on unmarried status for all in justifying this proposition. A posteriori on the other hand, for one to be justified, one has to have a reason based on thinking for which a given proposition is basically true and emerges or is derived from an experience. For instance, many beliefs of the claims based on natural sciences, several introspective and memorial beliefs etc. Lastly, a priori and posteriori distinctions are also applied to things rather than ways of knowing like to arguments and prepositions.
The analytic and synthetic distinction may be differentiated in that; a proposition is basically analytic when the predicted concept based on the proposition is simply contained in the subject concept. In an example, it is analytic to claim that all bachelors are unmarried due to the fact that the concept of being unmarried in inclusive in bachelor concept. This is by contrast with synthetic prepositions which imply that the predicate concept adds or amplifies to the subject concept. In simple terms, the analytic statement can be proven true simply by analyzing the terms which relate to deduction and rationalism while synthetic cannot be proven at any point to be true by analyzing the terms relating to induction and empiricism.
