Law Enforcement Agency

The Agency's mission is "to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners with leadership and criminal justice services; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the agencies and partners" (Federal Bureau of Investigations, 2017). The FBI provides a wide range of information to the public through its website. FBI provides the public with their addresses and contacts so that they can reach the services of the agency when a need arises. It also includes a list of ten most wanted people in the world primarily due to crime, children kidnapping or even terrorism. It has also posted its leadership structure to the public.
FBI provides a wide range of programs. First, there is the program of Criminal Justice Information Justice (CJIS), e.g., Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) and National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Secondly, there is Operational Technology and Laboratory Services, e.g., Evidence Response Team (ERT) and Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC). Thirdly, there is a program of Law Enforcement Training that involves National Academy and International Training, etc. The programs mentioned above are some of the very many that the agency provides (Federal Bureau of Investigations, 2017).
I can relate the agency being federal and therefore its law enforcement jurisdictions extend over the municipals and states agencies. Federal organizations have more powers and responsibilities than the state or municipal agencies.
The primary difference of FBI with the other two classes of court and correctional facility agencies is that its core purpose is to investigate different types of crimes and forward the investigation reports to the attorneys for prosecution. The Supreme Court advocates on making judgments based on the legal evidence presented by the government attorney. Bureau of Prison plays the role of controlling prisons where inmates are held.

Court Agency

In example of a court agency is the Supreme Court of the United States. Its official link is; https://www.supremecourt.gov/
The court agency might not be having a clear mission statement though it has some words written on the main entrance of the building stating “EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW” and this statement just emphasizes the role and responsibilities of the court (US Supreme Court, 2017). 
The Supreme Court’s website portrays different types of information to the public. The court posts the days and time that the offices of the court remain open to the public. It also portrays a calendar that indicates the arguments and non-argument days, conference days and holidays. The website also provides the transcripts of oral arguments after the case is heard in the Supreme Court. It also avails the audio recordings of oral argument at every Friday after each argument week. It also provides different avenues in which the public can reach the court (US Supreme Court, 2017).
The Supreme Court offers different programs for the benefit of the public. It provides a “Fellows Program” which gives a specific individual an opportunity of contributing to the administration issues affecting the country at a national level. The court also provides a platform for the media. Through the help of the Public Information, the press can achieve a more comprehensive and accurate coverage of the happenings of the Court thus helping the public to understand how the court works or functions. It also provides the reports entailing the speech given at the end of the year by the Chief Justice. The court is currently carrying out a program of electronic filing (US Supreme Court, 2017).
 I can relate the Supreme Court as a court agency as it involves dealing with the cases of the prosecuted parties. It is the highest Court in the US and it deals with particular matters when trying to bring justice.
US Supreme Court focuses on determining justice when there are claims of violating federal laws or inter-state boundaries conflicts whereas FBI concentrates on investigating cases that revolve around crime. On the other hand, Bureau of Prisons deals with maintaining prisons and the inmates.

Correctional Facility Agency     

Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is an example of correctional facility agency in the United States and its website link is; https://www.bop.gov/
It does not have a specific mission statement though it has a slogan that says, “Correctional Excellence, Respect, and Integrity.” Such a slogan tries to explain the role of the facility (Federal Bureau of Prisons, 2017).
The BOP website indicates its contacts and the location of its facilities to the public. It also portrays how one can locate and visit a federal inmate. It also highlights how active citizens can do business with BOP. The BOP website allows the public to access the policy forms the make and use when performing their constitutional duties.
BOP also provides counseling and rehabilitation programs to those people who have been charged by the court for violating the law. Counselling sessions aimed at helping the offenders to change for the better in the future.
BOP also runs a health management initiative to ensure that the lawbreakers enjoy their rights to health access. The correctional officers try to maintain right living conditions and standards in the cells or jails to protect the health status of the inmates (Federal Bureau of Prisons, 2017).
I can relate BOP with the functions of a correctional facility since it is responsible for controlling the inmates who have been found guilty or accused of violating the federal rules and regulations. Its responsibility connects with the roles of the correctional facility in criminal justice agencies.
BOP is differing with the FBI because it is carrying out the function of controlling inmates who have violated the federal law while FBI concentrates on investigating criminal activities that undermine the national policies. BOP also differs with the Supreme Court of the US because the court is the one that makes the order that the correctional officers will follow. The Supreme Court has the mandate of making just decision as per the stipulations of the legal docket (Federal Bureau of Prisons, 2017).
