The movie summary of ‘Gone’ displays events that occurred on the week Pat Loud decides to pay her daughter, Lance a visit in New York. Lance recently moved to New York and resided in a room she shared with her friend at the Chelsea hotel. Prior to the arrival, both mother and daughter are excited about their plan for the entire week. The movie is expressed as a dialogue where both Loud and her daughter interact all through. In New York, they both take several visits and get to know more about Lance’s new life and especially how she has managed to cope with leaving California and her father not around. Lance notes that even if her father visited New York, she would not know how to talk to him. However, her mother reassures her that would not be difficult as he father will only be in New York for two days. On the final day, Lance and her mother recall the week, on aspects such as why she did not pick her from the airport. They both agree to communicate frequently through letter. Loud also tells lance to think about communicating with her father.

I contemplate that the film is excellent as it brings out the life of an American family. The importance of the family unit is also underscored in the video as Lance’s mother comes to look for her in New York. Another aspect of the video that is interesting is the dialogue between Lance and her mother whereby they get to recollect the events of previous years that led to Lance moving to New York. In general, the video is excellent based on the themes presented.
