Person Creativity Behavior in an Organisation
Innovation is something that is achieved every day. Innovation means the adaptation of an existing paradigm into a more sophisticated one that can be found in this century. It suggests that it fits hand in hand with architecture and invention. It all depends on the product and the team that you are collaborating with to come up with a creative concept while designing something. Acting as a team is the best thing in the world of creativity because various ideas are put on the table, and brainstorming is practiced during the process. IDEO is a consulting firm that has collaborated with numerous companies and 90 new products have been developed. For Apple Company; they created their first mouse and many other companies ("ABC Nightline – IDEO Shopping Cart", 2014).
In the company, everyone is allowed to work as a designer due to having an idea to represent. The root of departure is permitting various beliefs to the table. IDEO gives everyone a chance and not because of the title in the office because you have an idea. It encourages wild ideas, and anyone with a wild idea can be innovative. Since changes also include redesigning of old models, IDEO was to do the shopping cart. In the team of redesigning the shopping cart project leader, the manager, the lead manager in marketing and any other person working in the corporation worked on the project. This team came up with ideas and also deliver the remodel of the new shopping cart that is more transformed. The things that are considered when renovating the cart includes the safety of the customer or the person using, the checkout while leaving the supermarket and more natural way to find items without leaving the cart at a certain point ("ABC Nightline – IDEO Shopping Cart", 2014).
For all these to work, the environment of the people emerging the ideas on the designing of the new cart should be conducive and encouraging. In the company, the works there have been giving the freedom to design their office to how they like it. The manager thinks of it as a way giving them comfort and also creates fun for them and also motivates them. The manager professor David Kelly thinks that having them allow them to be playful at work will lead to innovation. Building their working places and being playful according to the professor is the key to start the project. Mr. David works with his colleagues and also treats them as equal because he believes that working together delivers a good job. He gives them time to decide and also trusts them to deliver a perfect work and at the time expected.
Apart from the environment of the designers, teamwork plays a big role when working on a project. In IDEO we see that everyone is given a chance to come up with an idea. Then later or they vote on which is much technological innovated then take each idea in every sample that was voted on and make one cart that will be having a new design with more advantages especially the ones that were considered. When considering the workers in the organization, we see how individual behaviours have a huge impact n design and novelty (Li & Zheng, 2017).
For David to allow the workers to build and design their working space, it means that he appreciates the original ideas that each one of them has when it comes to design and alteration. It encourages new ideas in the organization hence encouraging upheaval. The fact that everyone is treated equally in the company means that everyone has a shot at coming up a new idea as well. It acts as a motivation to the workers and the customers as well because when the design is out, the credit is given to everyone not one person as an individual.
In an organization, according to the kind of work that IDEO has been doing for different products. They have never disappointed their clients and it worked by making the workers at the corporation feel important and respected including their ideas. David believes that one can come up with in anything without permission because it is the way departure comes through. It is because people will see the design and then copy due to it incredible and interesting. Therefore, they get used to it (Pratoom & Savatsomboon, 2017).
There are individual behaviours that affect the innovation, and they include; constructive culture, management of knowledge, self-leadership, individual changes, and creativity. These practices are needed in the field of changes. Constructive culture means that someone should be able to constructive depending on the culture. Thus, there is new technology coming up. Management of knowledge is seen when the manager gets to hear everyone’s pitch an idea of certain departures (Oukes, 2010). For example, David Kelly is the knowledge manager, and he also works with his workers. Self-leadership and own upheaval is an inbuilt passion and through that one can have brilliant ideas when it comes to it.
To sum up, novelty world needs individuals’ behaviour applied for a good project to be delivered on time and with new technology. In an organization when an individual has the individual alteration, management of knowledge, creativity, and self-leadership, he or she can be innovative and design various things. And according to IDEO, the individual conducting is being employed in the organization. Hence, it is among the best designing companies.
