The analysis of Genesis Chapters 1 to 3 is also the basis for discovering how humans alienated from God. God had at one point contemplated destroying the entire universe until Noah intervened. The existing barriers to proclaiming the kingdom of God at all times is a perfect illustration human’s refusal to honor the word of God. Worldly desires, led by technology, have slowly redefined the priorities of Christians. There have been significant debates regarding technological enslavement. The problem underlying iPhone extends beyond how the device is used, touching on the overall manufacturing process and a manipulation of people’s desires (Rollman). It is apparent that the iPhone and other related communication and social networking devices leverage people desires. Some of the most manipulated characteristics include the propensity to save time and multitask. However, the issues regarding the device also touch on the abuse of manufacturers and other employees, implying that humans are part of their destruction.
The articulation of the effect of technology on humans, particularly Christians, helps to preempt the nature of their relationship with God. There is an apparent antagonism between Christians and God. Part of the hostility emanates from the fact that there is little accountability on the part of the humans. It originates from defying the teachings from the holy text, the Bible. For instance, people are spending too much time using their mobile phones. While it may not be an entirely evil thing, the level of devotion to technology threatens the fabric of spirituality. Reading the Bible on a daily basis is one of the most effective strategies for cultivating a special bond with God. A Christian vision for everyday life, as congruence between conviction and action, should manifest a firm interest to live as per the teachings of God. One of the critical incentives includes the belief that it is possible to disregard worldly pleasures and commit to serving God. It would be the most effective way of being a true Christian.
