Bartering with the clients is a relatively rare case in most therapeutic cases. Notably, there are various cases where the councilors have been involved in various bartering cases with their clients due to their local arrangements. In this case, I will target on showing the best performance of my work. Moreover, I will also keep in mind that my performance will be based on the achieving the necessary threshold and by working hard to achieve this, the level of performance will allow me to develop my skills and hence enable me to give the best results. Besides, it is true that competencies are related to personal character, and as a result, I will have to practice showing the best character which will make me useful. As a result, I will have to develop different characteristics and expertise which help me in improving my competence in the job.

However, relationships range from different situations whereby the parties may potentially benefit from the relationship or may be harmed by the relationship. Notably, involving in a sexual relationship with a client is considered to be harmful according to the 2005 ACA Code of Ethics. The same code also expands and reiterates the barn of any sexual relationship with a client, the client partners and also the family members of the client. Apparently, the 1995 code also bans all sexual relationship a therapist may have with their former clients. In this case, it specifies an extensive justification of more than two years because this may not be harmful to the customer. Besides, nonsexual relationships are always permitted and are in accord with the ethics. The above differs with the Texas LPC codes in a manner that the later accepts interactions between the client and the therapist or any other so long as it is not harmful to any of the participants.
